Number 10 Aide re-interviewed under caution

BBC News is confirming that Downing Street’s director of political operations, John McTernan, has been interviewed for a second time under caution by police in the honours probe. He is currently seconded to the Scottish Labour Party to run its campaign for May’s key elections. According to the report the interview took place before Ruth Turner, the prime minister’s director of government relations was arrested.

  1. I heard the story covered on Newsnight Scotland earlier, but they gave few details other than the fact the Daily Record was running a story today.

    It is clearly going horribly wrong for Tony, however he is not going anywhere unless the the rozzers drag him out.


  3. The lead item on Radio Scotland. It is like a dripping tap of bad headlines for Labour.


  4. 3 Agreed it is a dripping tap but despite this the drips do not seem to be having an effect on Labour opinion poll ratings which low as they are are not in freefall .
